High grade build quality - it is made with automotive grade components making it ideal for prototyping without compromising on build requirments

"Specialized" general I/O - it is a general purpose platform with built in high current driver outputs, different types of input, communication interfaces including Flexray, CAN and ethernet, so compared to, for instance, a development board it has very sophisticated I/O

Small size - the form factor is very small making it possible to integrate smoothly into an existing physical architecture, to test it in a very realistic electrical environment

High capacity platform - it is possible to code generate complex algorithms from Matlab/Simulink and use both in HIL-riggs as well as in actual vehicles

On-chip FlexRay™ - the on-chip FlexRay™ controller will enable rapid prototyping of applications centred around the next generation of bus architectures, for instance high frequency closed-loop control applications and communications backbone

Electrical plug-in capabilities - the board has an internal electrical interface making it easy to add features such as more complex interfaces, optical galvanic isolation, redundancy

Also note that the platform is one of the reference platforms of the Arccore AUTOSAR-initiative.
